CONTROL MEASURES
Experienced handlers present at all times.
Introduction given to all new people, including clients & visitors engaging with the Equerapy horses.
Equerapy horses are well handled and assessed regularly for activities.
Limited numbers of people are around Equerapy horses and supervised either directly or indirectly by Equerapy.
First aid qualification & first kit on site (clearly labelled with accident book).
Each activity introduced by Equerapy.
Equipment will only be manually handled after explaination provided and guidance on its use.
Equipment is kept cleaned, well maintained & stored.
Equerapy shall directly or indirectly supervise activities at all times.
First aid trained staff and first aid equipment on site (clearly signposted).
Hay is fenced of as an area out of bounds to clients. Signs visible advise no unauthorized admittance.
Either direct or indirect supervision by Equerapy at all times.
